The Central Trade Unions & All India Federations of various Employees’ and Industrial Workers, including FMRAI, have decided one day All India General Strike on 8th January, 2020, in pursuance of the 12 point Charter of Demands. Federation of Medical and Sales Representatives’ Associations of India (FMRAI), our all India organisation is a constituent of the united movement and therefore all Sales Promotion Employees across the country resorted to strike on 8th January, 2020. In this background, in addition to the 12 point Charter of Demands, FMRAI has raised 6 (six) specific demands to the Central Government and the Employers. . FMRAI Demands to the Central Government: • Protect Sales Promotion Employees (Conditions of Service) Act, 1976. • No GST on medicines and medical devices. • Introduce ‘Uniform Code of Pharmaceutical Marketing Practices’ (UCPMP). FMRAI Demands to the Employers: • Comply with the provisions of SPE Act and other statutes • No victimisation on sales ground. • Stop surveillance and invasion of privacy through electronic gadgets.
